- Intelligence, passion, wisdom and persistence in investing . Requires an initial, early and regular commitment to funding it. Starting early in life helps.
- Superior people and sales skills in obtaining commissions that are subsequently well managed.
- Superior scientific, mechanical and inventive skills and the commitment and business know-how to bring it to market and beyond. Earnings are well managed.
- Superior creative or athletic skills that are nurtured, directed and recognized. Earnings are well managed.
- Luck in gambling (please, donÂ?t depend on this) or marriage (nor this unless you are happily married) and subsequent well tending of money or spouse.
- Everyday earnings from wages or self-employment that are wisely saved, spent and invested for future needs & wants. A somewhat less glamorous and less intense life path but EQUALLY REWARDING road to a life well lived.

- My mother is an astute money manager and we started our savings accounts at early ages, turned off switches and sewed and repaired many of our own fashionable clothes. My father passed his love of nature and the environment to me and IÂ?ve been a vociferous recycler of orange rinds, clothing, old boards and anything else that passes my way. For most of us, there is no magic financial wand, just continued persistence, good judgment and self control.

- The Bible, Torah, QÂ?uran and other spiritual guides all teach us the importance of giving without the expectation of anything in return, that we are stewardÂ?s of GodÂ?s gifts. I will offer you the opportunity to incorporate these values in your plans, decisions and investment choices if they are important to you.

SAVING and INVESTING
- I choose not to spend all my time tracking the minute-by-minute machinations of the stock market. I believe in researching and choosing investments that are likely to increase in value over the long term but may fluctuate in the short term. If you are not up to researching and making your own stock selections, I will suggest fairly priced diversified mutual funds from low cost brokerages. Before making recommendations we will discuss and assess your tolerance for financial risk and the appropriate type of investments for your goals and time frames.
- I enjoy stock research but do not have the resources required to be a stock advisor. I recommend and teach VALUE investing which involves substantive research to find companies that are reasonably priced and whose corporate values reflect yours.
- Value means that a stock or fund is at a low cost compared to similar stocks or funds. It also means that management not only states their core values in their annual report but takes steps to implement those values in ways that are visible to outsiders. These are not necessarily easy things to ascertain, but I can direct you in this.
- No one stock can serve your financial needs. Individual stocks are components of a balanced and diversified portfolio. The stock that is well priced today may not be so next month. I do NOT make specific INDIVIDUAL standalone stock recommendations but I will share my monthly stock picks you may consider as building blocks in your portfolio. Do not make investments solely on what I have suggested. All companies fortunes are tied to economics, whims and events over which we have no control and no outcomes are guaranteed.
